When you need to talk to someone
This page is for when things are heavier than an article can help with.
If you are thinking about harming yourself, or you feel you cannot hold on any longer: the most important thing right now is not to read anything more, but to tell someone.
Three things you can do right now
- 01Call someone you trustYou do not need to explain much. Saying “I am not okay” is enough to begin.
- 02Go to the nearest medical facilityIf you are in immediate danger, this is the right thing to do — even if it feels awkward.
- 03Find a psychologist or psychiatristFor a stretch that keeps going. This is a matter of treatment, not of willpower.
List of support lines
We have not published any phone numbers here, because we have not called them ourselves to be sure the line still works and someone still answers. A number nobody picks up, on this page of all pages, is worse than no list at all.
In the meantime, the surest thing is to go to the nearest medical facility, or ask someone next to you to call for you.
Tâm An Mỗi Ngày is a place for sharing experience and practice. We are not a medical service, we do not provide crisis counselling, and we are not a substitute for a trained professional.
